A quick note from the creators
This tool was built as part of our Family Law - I CET Component at Gujarat National Law University. The idea was simple: instead of writing yet another static research paper, why not bring the law to life? We wanted to translate dry legal principles into something that actually does something - and this calculator is our attempt at exactly that.
The questions and scoring logic are grounded in real factors that Indian courts consider when adjudicating maintenance claims — income disparity, duration of marriage, standard of living, educational background, and more. It's our legal knowledge, packaged in a format that's (dare we say) actually fun to use.
